The Bearing Certified designation confirms that a service operation has solid processes and the appropriate equipment in place to ensure proper bearing maintenance. Before employees are trained, a Timken engineer conducts a pre-audit. This rigorous evaluation documents the quality of the processes and equipment a facility has in place to store, remove, install, and maintain bearings. After the training, the Timken engineer returns for the post-training audit. Depending on how well the facility scores, it can earn one of several Bearing Certified levels and receive recommendations for any improvements. Platinum is the highest level.
