Specialists Association
The Bearing
Specialists Association serves and represents firms that, as
authorized distributors, stock and sell factory-warranted ball,
roller, and other anti-friction bearings. BSA member firms provide
service, replacement bearings, and warranty coverage to their industrial
customers and provide a vital link between manufacturer and end
user.
BSA's membership varies
in size from small and medium-sized companies to nationwide chains.
Company growth, as well as mergers and acquisitions, have played
a large role in the membership's evolution. For example, membership
in 1970-71 consisted of 113 member companies with 356 branches.
In 1999, BSA had 70 member firms with more than 3000 branches and
60 participating manufacturers. Members are located throughout Canada,
Europe, Japan, Mexico, Austrailia and the United States. It is estimated
that BSA member sales exceed three billion dollars.

FPDA
is a trade association representing approximately 500 distributors
and manufacturers of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
Our Mission Statement: Improve distributor performance and value
through service, education and information.
Georgia Mining
Association
The mission of the Georgia
Mining Association is to advance and encourage the mineral resource
industries of the State of Georgia, to provide information on legislative
matters to the membership and to create a better understanding among
the people of Georgia about the importance of the mining industry.
Georgia Crushed
Stone
The purpose
of the Georgia Crushed Stone
Association is to encourage the highest ideals and ethics in all
matters relating to the activities of the crushed stone industry
and those members associated with the Georgia Crushed Stone Association.
The Association seeks to advocate positions in the interest of the
industry to public organizations and government agencies, which
promote the continued and expended use of crushed stone products
as a durable and quality building material. Education and
training are also critical missions of Gerogia Crushed Stone.

of America
ISA
is an international, nonprofit, educational organization. The Society
fosters advancement in the theory, design, manufacture, and use
of instruments, computers, and systems for measurement and control.
International Society
of Weighing and Measurement
The International
Society of Weighing and Measurement is a non-profit organization,
whose sole intent is the advancement of its members. Formerly known
as the National Scale Men's Association, ISWM members have been
gathering for over 70 years. ISWM members include manufacturers,
distributors, government officials, end users, scale purchasers,
and suppliers to the industry. ISWM members have various titles,
from CEO's, presidents, sales managers, service technicians, administration
and many more. They come from diverse backgrounds, but they all
have one thing in common: they are committed to the technical advancements
created by and for the weighing and measurement industry.
National Association
of Wholesalers-Distributors
The
National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) is the
Washington, DC-based trade association that represents the wholesale
distribution industry. NAW is active in these areas: government
relations and political action; research and education; and group
purchasing. In addition to NAW, the association operates the Wholesaler-Distributor
Political Action Committee, the Distribution Research & Education
Foundation, and the NAW Service Corporation.
The National Federation
of Independent Business
The
National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is the largest
advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses
in Washington, D.C. and all 50 state capitals. NFIB's purpose is
to influence public policy at the state and federal level and be
the resource for small and independent business in America. NFIB
also gives its members a power in the marketplace. By pooling the
purchasing power of its 600,000 members, the National Federation
of Independent Business gives members access to many business products
and services at discounted costs. NFIB also provides timely information
designed to help small businesses succeed.
Power Transmission
Distributors Association
PTDA
is an US-based trade association representing over 280 power transmission/motion
control (PT/MC) distributor firms with over 2,500 locations throughout
North America and 25 other countries. PTDA also represents close
to 200 manufacturers that supply the PT/MC industry. Organized in
1960, PTDA is a member-driven organization dedicated to providing
the information, education and business tools required to meet the
needs of the industrial marketplace competitively and profitably.
