In addition to strong vendor ties, B&D also maintains connections in top industrial trade associations. B&D employees are not only active participants, but are also in positions of leadership, directly influencing industry awareness and opportunities. Our professional outreach includes memberships in:

Bearing Specialists Association (BSA)

The BSA serves and represents authorized distributors who stock and sell factory-warrantied ball, roller and other anti-friction bearings. BSA members provide service, replacement bearings and warranty coverage to industrial customers, and are a vital link between manufacturer and end user. B&D Industrial is a charter member of BSA and has been an active member for over 50 years.

Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA)

The PTDA membership includes hundreds of power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) distributors and manufacturers with branches and service locations that span the globe. Organized in 1960, PTDA is a member-driven organization dedicated to providing the information, education and business tools required to meet the needs of the industrial marketplace competitively and profitably.

Fluid Power Distributors Association (FPDA)

The FPDA represents more than 500 distributors and manufacturers of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems. The organization provides distributor performance and value through service, education and information.

Georgia Mining Association (GMA)

The GMA serves Georgia-based mineral resource industries by providing information on pertinent legislative matters and working to educate the public about the importance of the mining industry as an economic leader.

Georgia Construction Aggregate Association (GCAA)

The GCAA is tasked with advocacy and outreach to governmental and policy-making agencies, education on the benefits provided by the industry and training of industry employees in areas of safety, environmental responsibility and professional management. The construction aggregate serves as the foundation for the state’s highways and infrastructure construction.

The International Society of Weighing and Measurement (ISWM)

The members of the 100-year-old ISWM include manufacturers, distributors, government officials, end users, scale purchasers and suppliers. Each is committed to the technical advancements created by and for the weighing and measurement industry.

National Association of Wholesalers-Distributors (NAW)

Based in Washington, DC, NAW represents the wholesale distribution industry on a national scale and is active in promoting government relations, political action, research, education and group purchasing. In addition to NAW, the association also operates the Wholesaler-Distributor Political Action Committee, the Distribution Research & Education Foundation and the NAW Service Corporation.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)

The NFIB is the country’s largest advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses. Its purpose is to influence public policy at the state and federal level and to serve as a resource by pooling purchasing power and offering access to products and services at discounted costs.

Association for High Technology Distribution (AHTD)

The AHTD works to increase the productivity and profitability of high-tech automation solutions providers and manufacturers that satisfy the automation needs of general industry and OEM manufacturers. The association offers a wide spectrum of programs and services designed by and for its members.
