2005-georgia-family-business-of-the-year-awardB&D Industrial is proud to announce that it is the winner in the “large business” category of the Georgia Family Business of the Year award.

The Cox Family Enterprise Center, based at the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University, selects winners each year from over 1,000 applications. This program was started in 1991 by the Cox Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw State University to emphasize the tremendous and positive contributions provided by family firms, large and small.

Winning businesses are chosen on the basis of their proven business success, positive family/business linkage, multi-generational family business involvement, contributions to industry and community, and innovative business practices and strategy. Awards are given in four categories: small (fewer than 50 employees), medium (50-250 employees), large (more than 250 employees), Cox Enterprises Century Award (family business at least 100 years old).

“We are proud to have a family business over 50 years old with three generations of our family actively involved in the business. Winning this award is a great tribute to B&D Industrial and all our employees,” said Andrew Nations, president. “It’ s quite a surprise,” stated John Nations, chairman.
